So yesterday the running program for Barry commenced with a slow 2 mile jog.
The plan is for a 5k run in December and a 10k run at the end of March.
This section of his fitness program could only really commence when he had lost enough weight to reduce his high blood pressure issue.
This is not something Barry has ever done before or something he really wants to do, indeed there was a lot of complaining at the end. "I'm dying, I can't do this" was his main comment. The fact that he still had the breath to moan disproved that fact!
Its important to set goals when introducing elements of fitness and if he can achieve the 5k run by the end of the year it will be a great success.
